One of the essential steps to correctly design a fluid transport or distribution installation is the development of a realistic calculation model that allows estimating the most suitable properties of the pipelines for a system with certain characteristics of length and consumption.

On the other hand, the maintenance of the existing networks in optimal conditions to guarantee a good service to their users, also implies an important analysis work, to simulate the causes of the possible imbalances detected and to predict the behavior of the networks in front of expected demand variations or possible supply problems.

These are the specialties of our network planning, analysis and dimensioning department, formed by a team of people with great analytical capacity that, together with the most modern network simulation software (winflow), allows us to guarantee:

• An optimal design of the projected pipelines from the technical point of view (diameters, lengths and minimum nominal flow rates required), which results in a lower cost of the installations.
• Proposals for improvements in existing networks that are effective and proportionate to the problems detected.
• And, in short, a correct operation of our clients' networks, without excess velocity in the piping, without saturation of the regulation stations and without excessive load losses, always maintaining the network pressure above the minimum established for each client.
• Specifically, the types of studies developed by our planning department for our current clients in the hydrocarbon sector can be classified into two main areas:

Supply Network Sizing:

• Municipalities.
• Urbanizations.
• New clients.

Analysis of Existing Networks:

• Periodic planning of municipalities.
• Network vulnerability studies.
• Network sectorization studies.

All our departments, but especially the engineering department, are characterized by their great versatility and capacity to face in depth, time and form projects of different scopes within the following sectors: oil & gas, electricity, telecommunications, water and industrial.

We carry out projects of: Distribution and transportation networks, gas pipelines, polyducts, oil pipelines, process plants, midstream and downstream projects, LNG, CNG, NGV, renewable energy projects, drinking water and sanitation networks, power lines, among others.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We undertake projects at all levels of engineering:

• Preliminary Engineering: initial reports for the analysis of the technical and economic feasibility of the project, with a study of alternatives and their evaluation.
• Basic Engineering: basic projects to obtain previous administrative authorizations, etc. Generating sufficient documentation to clearly define the object, location, conditions, regulations to be observed and basic characteristics of the project.
• Detailed Engineering: projects for the execution of facilities, including calculations for the sizing of equipment, technical specifications of materials, all the necessary drawings for the correct interpretation of the project, prepared on updated base cartography and complementary studies (health and safety, environmental and technical, topographical, archaeological, list of assets and rights affected and geotechnical study, etc.).
• Risk Studies: different types of studies related to risks, operability and safety, among others. HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, SIS, RBI, etc.
• Project Supervision: supervision of projects carried out by other firms, based on the highest quality and regulatory standards (local national and international) we review the designs and present alternatives and solutions to the problems detected.

We offer our services for the accomplishment of all the previous administrative procedures necessary for the execution of network piping works, putting to the service of the client our knowledge about the own norms and particularities of each organism and our best criterion to speed up as much as possible the obtaining of all the permissions. This work of compiling documentation and the orderly registration of all the procedures is essential to avoid future problems in the execution and legalization of the works.

This activity requires us to be in constant communication with city councils and other public bodies, which has allowed us to know in detail the appropriate construction techniques for a correct laying of the network, taking into account the difficulties that construction companies may encounter in the field.

Among other tasks, we take care of:

• Contacting city councils and public bodies (General Directorate of Roads, Provincial Council, Hydrographic Confederation,...) to inform us about the procedures and documentation required in each case.
• Management of municipal licenses, including completion of forms, preparation of plans and completion and follow-up of license applications.
• The request of graphic information to other service companies that could be affected by the works, in order to know the location of their networks.

From REINS the correct execution of the works according to the construction project, the technical standards of application and with special emphasis on health and safety, with sufficient overview to make the appropriate decisions at all times of the work to execute the project on time and within the planned costs.

In our company, we have a team of engineers capable of assuming with solvency the functions of supervision and management throughout the life of the project, with extensive experience mainly in the management and supervision of transport and distribution works in the Oil & Gas, Electricity, Water, and telecommunications sectors, the result of more than 20 years of collaboration with major distribution and transport companies in Spain.
